A hands-on course built around paper circuits — real electronic components, glowing on paper, so you finally understand how electricity actually flows, not just the rule for it. Covers electrical concepts across grades 6 to 10, and includes a materials kit delivered to your home.
Introduction
Exploring the Kit
A "paper circuit" means exactly what it sounds like — building real, working electrical circuits directly on paper or worksheets, using copper tape instead of wires. The course traces how circuits themselves evolved, from the simplest single-component design to more complex systems with multiple parts working together — covering the electrical concepts across grades 6 to 10 along the way, but through your own hands rather than a formula sheet.
Before any of that, though, you verify and understand every single thing in your own kit — so the course starts with something concrete in your hands, not an abstract diagram on a screen.
A full guide to every item in your paper circuit kit — the playbook, worksheets, copper tape, and all 33 electronic components — plus how to inspect each one for damage before you start.
What a paper circuit really is, atomic structure, electric current, valence electrons, and what voltage actually means — the "push" behind every current.
The many forms of energy electricity converts into, the difference between static and current electricity, and the historical AC/DC rivalry between Tesla and Edison.
The three building blocks of every electrical system, with real examples — generators and solar panels as sources, household appliances as loads, and the wires that connect them.
Activity 17 is included directly inside the playbook.
The electronics arrive in an electrostatic discharge cover to prevent static damage. The course walks you through inspecting every component — checking solder joints, looking for cuts or damage — before you begin, so you know exactly what's working.

This course was created by Sangaran, an Embedded Systems Engineer with a Master's in Control & Instrumentation, and a co-founder of Aatrral. He's the author of Paper Circuits, the STEM activity book this entire course is built on — turning simple materials like paper, copper tape, and LEDs into real working electrical circuits.
CLAD certified in LabVIEW, Sangaran brings the same hands-on, take-it-apart-and-understand-it spirit into this course that he brings to every conversation — so ideas aren't just explained, they're built, tested, and understood.
The recorded sessions and concepts are built for age 11 and above. The kit itself can also be used as a hands-on play activity from age 5+, with adult supervision.
